The Elaphite islands or as their name suggests “The Deer Islands”  consist of large number of reefs and rocks and eight islands and five islets, namely: Daksa, Kolocep, St. Andrija, Lopud, Ruda, Šipan, Mišnjak, Jakljan, Kosmec, Golec, Crkvine, Tajan and Olipa. They are located just west of Dubrovnik and give a special touch to that part of panorama, especially at sunset, when they seem the most beautiful. Only three islands in the whole Elaphite archipelago are inhabited; Kolocep, Lopud and Šipan. 
To get to any of the inhabited Elaphite islands is fairly easy as ferry boats go on a regular basis leaving out of Dubrovnik's port, the Port of Gruz. And if you would like to go to the other islands or maybe even take a cruise on the Adriatic you can always rent or charter a boat or a sailboat.
Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan are the islands chosen by the many families of The Dubrovnik Republic aristocracy for their summer manors. Some of these manors stand there today unfaded in full beauty reflecting a rich history of the islands and their owners. Each of these islands is like a special pearl, each similar to the other but still somehow different.

Wedding ceremony options on Lopud Island

Garden wedding: The Botanic Garden is a beautiful oasis of trees, flowers, and pastoral scenes—and the perfect place for your marriage ceremony. Hidden behind the historic structures are lush gardens. The garden lies along the sea path, this means that you can have a ceremony on the elevated level of the garden overlooking the sea. Or you can enter the garden and choose to have the ceremony under the palm trees.

Wedding ceremony options on Sipan

Outdoors wedding on Šipan: not far from the sea, within walking distance, is a beautiful small oasis of green and history, the perfect place for a couple looking for piece and quiet.

Wedding dinner on Lopud or Šipan island

If you prefer to have your wedding dinner in Lopud or Šipan, we would recommend to stay overnight. We can help you with the hotel or private accommodation bookings. Our favourite restaurants for wedding dinners are these: you can enjoy your dinner on these shady terraces with view over the bay.
If however you would like to return to Dubrovnik for your wedding dinner, it only takes a relaxing 45 minute boat trip to the old port of Dubrovnik.
